Prior to joining Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd. as a partner in 1986 Dawn was a project engineer for a structural engineering consultant. This experience in overall building structure design provides Dawn with the insight necessary to provide innovative solutions to soil retention and foundation problems. In 1997 Dawn assumed her role as President. She focuses on quality control, innovation in designs, superior client service, and rigorous health and safety programs. Dawn makes professional development in both the business and technical aspects of her field a priority for herself and the other members of the Anchor team. She served as a member of the Vulnerable Worker Task Group with the Ministry of Labour (MOL) and in 2013 was appointed by the Minister of Labour to serve as an employer member on the Prevention Council for Ontario.

Dawn received an award in the Trailblazers and Trendsetters Category of the Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 awards in November 2008 and again in the Professionals Category in 2010. Dawn also received the University of Toronto 2T5 award in 2010. She is on the board of directors for the Toronto Construction Association and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.   Dawn is also an accomplished speaker and author of numerous trade journal articles.

Derrick Speakman, P. Eng. Derrick Speakman, P. Eng.

Derrick joined Anchor Shoring in April of 1987 as an estimator and project manager. In 1995 Derrick became a partner in the company and continues in his role as Vice President. In his more than 25 years in the foundation industry Derrick has acquired significant experience in the technical control, design and administration of soil retention and foundation projects. He is a Vice President of the Heavy Construction Association of Toronto (HCAT) and a past president of the Ontario Association of Foundation Specialists.

Thomas Stack Thomas Stack

Tom Stack retired in 2014 after 43 years at Anchor Shoring. Tom joined Anchor in 1971 as a site superintendent and became a partner in 1986. He was responsible for field operations from 1988 until his retirement. We appreciate Tom’s years of service and wish him all the best in his retirement.

Paul Kreycir, C.E.T. Paul Kreycir, C.E.T. IN MEMORIAM
Paul Kreycir was a partner, and a valued member of the Anchor Team for 27 years. Through his dedication, Paul made his mark on our industry and in our lives. Throughout his career, he gained Anchor many loyal clients and the respect of his peers, associates and competitors in our industry. We were saddened to lose Paul to Cancer on February 18, 2011.With the blessing of his family, we created an endowment in his name at his alma mater Ryerson University -Faculty of Engineering. He is missed and this is our way of honouring his memory.
