|The Anchor Shoring Group of Companies was awarded the contract for design and installation of caisson walls, hoarding, dewatering, excavation, and structural caissons for this complex project. More than 40,000 ft2 of contiguous caisson wall shoring was required to be installed in a short period of time. The caisson wall required 350-36 inch diameter vertical holes drilled to more than 60 feet in depth.|
The schedule for the project was extremely aggressive. In order to meet this schedule The Anchor Shoring Group of Companies supplied multiple drill rigs for installation of the caisson walls and tiebacks. Installation of caisson walls began on January 5, 2000. Excavation to finish grade was completed by May 6, 2000, one month ahead of schedule. 350 vertical drilled holes with an average length of more than 60 feet were installed by Anchor within a 2 month period. The depth of excavation was up to 55 feet in depth. The caisson walls were braced with up to 5 rows of regroutable tiebacks with drilled lengths up to 90 feet.
